King Louie is a fable from the Jungle Book series by Rudyard Kipling who resides at The Farm.
King Louie joined up with Goldilocks and her revolution in order to overthrow the Fabletown government. Like most non-human fables, he resented at the apparent second-class status of non-human-appearing Fables.
When the revolution failed, he was sentenced twenty years of hard labor, then reduced to five years conditional on good behavior.
- King Louie was actually created by Disney and was never in the original books. Bill Willingham cited Louie's appearance in Fables as "a very good example on why it's best to go back to the source material before one embarks on a major story, rather than rely on often faulty memory of which characters were original canon and which weren't.
